Nutritional Biology PhD student Jennie Davis awarded the Jean Hankin Nutritional Epidemiology Research Grant
Jennie Davis is this year's recipient of the Jean Hankin Nutritional Epidemiology Research Grant from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation. This grant is given to provide financial support to a doctoral student working on a dissertation in the area of nutritional epidemiology.
The $20,000 award will fund her dissertation research in Haiti on the biological, environmental, and behavioral factors influencing noncommunicable disease risk among Haitian women. "With little research currently available on Haiti in general, and on this theme in Haiti in particular, I look forward to contributing to this body of nutrition research."
