Federal food and nutrition assistance programs support food security, diet quality, and overall health for millions of U.S. families. Researchers at the Institute for Global Nutrition conduct applied research to strengthen existing program practices and evaluate federal policies to ensure nutrition assistance programs effectively reach and support families. This work includes collaborations with local program agencies and nutrition policy organizations to generate evidence that informs federal policy and program services. Together, this research strengthens the translation of evidence into policy and practice to improve nutrition and health outcomes for individuals and families.
